I started practicing yoga because of my own personal circumstances, having a bedridden husband and being a caregiver can be stressful sometimes so starting yoga has been good for me. I found out about chair yoga over two years ago and I’ve never stopped attending since then. I enjoy all the sessions. My spirit feels strengthened. My body is less stiff and I’m less stressed.

I attended a Wellness Evening, facilitated by Malaika, at home of a dear friend. I found the sacred listening exercise in small groups rich and supportive and I was introduced to a new breathing exercise (through one nostril at a time) that I found particularly helpful. It is such a straightforward and practical stress management tool that I have already revisited it several times as a way of centering myself. I love Malaika's soothing voice and ability to create a safe, supportive and reflective space for us to take risks and support each others dreams for the year ahead. It would be wonderful if this was a regular annual (re)treat with the same group of women. I really enjoyed the whole session and would most definitely recommend Malaika's offerings to my friends!
