What to Expect
The yoga therapy process begins with an initial consultation, typically 75mins, which may include an intake questionnaire, assessment of breathing, posture, and range of motion.
In follow up sessions (50mins) we will use a range of techniques based on our check in for that day and your overall wellness goal including:
Yoga postures
Breath work practices
Guided meditation
Somatics & functional movement
Affirmation and intention setting
Ayurveda lifestyle tips
Lifestyle consultation
Intuitive coaching
Mindfulness and relaxation techniques
Along the way you will receive “homework” to practice on your own and practical tools to support your life beyond the yoga mat.

Malaika had us at Namaste. We are so thankful for our practice and the peace of mind that it provides us throughout our hectic lives. We started practicing with Malaika in late 2018. Getting to know our yogi has been so great and she always keeps things fresh and evolving. Malaika is very great at checking in with you and trying to understand where you are at in the moment and then adapt the class for maximum personal benefit. Hung over….no probs. Tired….she’s got you. Sizzled…..she will unscramble your brain!
Covid shocked us all and changed all of our worlds quite literally. We were so thankful to be able to embrace the online zoom yoga action and keep going with our yoga therapy. It is like therapy and it is life to us. The meditation component keeps us grounded and focused, the physical component keeps us energized and moving.

In need of a reset and deciding a vacation to Grenada was no better time and place to do it, I sought out Malaika online for a personalised yoga and meditation session. I received a warm, professional and detailed response on what Malaika could deliver - her availability and potential locations followed up with a video consultation with Malaika wanting to get to know me and make sure she had fully understood my needs. I felt I was in good hands from the beginning.
Maintaining contact in the lead up to my session, Malaika kindly also took care of my transport to the location for my practice. The location was perfect and exactly as detailed. Everything I had requested and more - a vast, green, peaceful outdoor space facing the sea ready for captivating sunset views.
Timing was everything and I started a beautiful session amongst the natural elements in the light and practiced through the most incredible sunset into the dark. The meditation and intentions Malaika coached me through were spot on to where I was at mentally, spiritually and physically Malaika gently challenged my body as I practiced with the support of some great props which Malaika came prepared with. Her knowledge, experience and compassion evident throughout the session and all prior communication.
I experienced an enlightening and renewing practice in a location with views that dreams are made of. Further taking away key notes from Malaika on how to continue on my journey of physical and spiritual well being and keep checking in with myself, carrying the incredible messages, feelings and practice with me onwards.

I have had several sessions with Malaika: both one-on-one and in a group. The one thing that is always consistent is how she makes me feel. Her voice is like an embrace and gives so much comfort.
Whenever I do sessions with Malaika I don’t feel pressured to be “right”. It is never about a performance or show of flexibility, but rather a safe space for me to allow my body to flow and my mind to be at ease.
