Our Intention
For most women, even if you already have children, pregnancy and birth comes with a whole range of emotions. We designed this workshop series to support you through all the stages of your pregnancy, so that you are better prepared to handle whatever comes up.
We invite you to bring your partner or a loved one at no extra cost so that they can learn about childbirth and how to support you.
"I did the Maternitea Series with my partner and highly recommend it specially for first time mothers, we loved it. It was very informative and it really helped us to expect the unexpected. The gentle yoga routine make a huge difference when lower back pain time reached. Walking in the first session I went from nervous to joyful in no time and the Tea in Maternitea is no joke... I highly recomend the lemon grass juice. Thanks Malaika and Rawlda for making a difference in Grenada Prenatal care. Blessings." ~ Aixa

About Us
Malaika Brooks-Smith-Lowe
Yoga Therapist & Doula (Birth Companion)
The past eight years as a yoga teacher have expanded my vision for what is possible. My intention as I teach is to build supportive, safe spaces for fellow students of life, to explore their own possibilities. Social justice is at the heart of my work, I believe firmly that individual transformation and healing is deeply connected to collective growth. My teaching draws on vinyasa, hatha, and restorative styles. I am an advanced teacher of therapeutic yoga (500hr).
My parents are Purna and Kripalu yoga teachers respectively, and together we co-founded Spice Harmony Yoga Studio in Grenada. Everyone comes to the mat with a unique set of life experiences, in a unique body. My work is as a facilitator, a guide as each student unlocks their own set of tools and steps into the fullness of their being.
