“When seeds want to rise they drop everything that is weighing them down.” ― Matshona Dhliwayo
You’re invited to Bloom with Malaika in Brooklyn! Come plant new seeds of intention and nourish your inner garden through breath work, movement, meditation, guided journaling, conversation and delicious health-full food.
This morning of wellness will be Saturday 17th June, 2023 from 9am-1pm at Make Manifest BK, a Culture Shop, Community Space, and Creative Hub in the heart of Bedstuy. I’m honored to be hosted by Isha Maat, fellow Global Grenadian and the visionary behind this incredible space. The cost is $110 per person including a yummy vegan brunch.
After moving back home to Grenada from Brooklyn 13 years ago, its been way too long since I hosted an event in NYC. I’m packing goodie bags with products from some of my favorite Grenadian creators and I cannot wait to share this little taste of home with you!
We are the seeds. Let’s bloom together!
- Malaika
“Malaika truly knit our group together. Her yoga practice is inclusive, challenging, and a lot of fun. She guides clearly through postures with her warm, steady voice and beautiful presence.” — KC
“ I attended a Wellness Evening, facilitated by Malaika…I found the sacred listening exercise in small groups rich and supportive and I was introduced to a new breathing exercise (through one nostril at a time) that I found particularly helpful. It is such a straightforward and practical stress management tool that I have already revisited it several times as a way of centering myself. I love Malaika's soothing voice and ability to create a safe, supportive and reflective space for us to take risks and support each others dreams for the year ahead.” — JF
"Malaika is a ray of light! As a facilitator she was extremely welcoming, making time to engage and interact with everyone throughout the day on the retreat. As a yoga teacher, she was informative, nurturing and patient." — HT
