Join Free Virtual Class: Yoga, Meditation & Nourish Retreat Q+A
Saturday May 31st 10am PT/ 1pm ET/ 5pm GMT

You are invited to the 3rd annual Nourish —a sacred space for deep self-care, reflection, and rejuvenation in the vibrant embrace of Grenada, my healing island home. This year, we will journey through the five koshas, the layers of our being, as a pathway for self-study and wellbeing. Through movement, meditation, journaling, art, adventure and shared wisdom, we will explore our Physical, Energetic, Mental, Intuitive, and Bliss bodies—bringing awareness and harmony to each layer.

Join me, Malaika Brooks-Smith-Lowe, 1st-7th December 2025 for six transformative nights at True Blue Bay Boutique Resort. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or stepping into retreat life for the first time, this immersive experience is designed to meet you where you are. You will also have the opportunity to book private yoga therapy sessions with me during your stay. All bodies are welcome and supported.

With nourishing meals, spacious time for integration, and meaningful connections with Grenada’s vibrant community, Nourish offers you a deep well of renewal.

Let’s retreat together—not to escape life, but to embrace its depth, beauty, and possibility.

Guest Facilitators

Joachim Joseph | Plant-Based Caribbean Chef | Culinary Innovator

From humble beginnings in Grenada to becoming a rising star in Caribbean culinary innovation, Joachim Joseph’s journey is one fueled by passion, tradition, and purpose. Though he didn’t initially pursue formal culinary training, the foundation of his craft was laid in his mother’s kitchen, where at just 11 years old, he absorbed the techniques, flavors, and traditions that define authentic Grenadian and Caribbean cooking.

It wasn’t until age 23 that Joachim made the bold decision to step into the culinary world professionally not just as a chef, but as a visionary redefining Caribbean cuisine. Embracing a plant-based lifestyle, he seamlessly merged heritage with innovation, creating food that is not only deeply flavorful but also nourishing and artful.

Joachim’s cuisine was met with overwhelming support, leading him to pop-up restaurant experiences in Barbados and a celebrated food festival appearance in Dominica. His unique approach bringing Caribbean flavors to plant-based dining has cemented his reputation as a chef to watch. In 2024, he was honored as the Rising Star Chef at the Best Dressed Plate Caribbean Culinary Impact Awards, recognizing his dedication to preserving and evolving Caribbean food culture.

Today, Joachim offers outdoor cooking experiences, private chef services, and catering, delivering food that is both soulful and intentional. His ultimate vision? To create a farm-to-table restaurant in Grenada, where guests can experience organic, locally sourced, and love-infused cuisine in harmony with nature, a place where food is more than sustenance; it is medicine.

When he’s not in the kitchen, Joachim finds inspiration in basketball, the outdoors, and holistic wellness a reflection of his commitment to balance, health, and mindful living.

Teddy Fredrick | Grenadian Artist | Film Producer

Multi-disciplinary artist with a passion for storytelling through photography, filmmaking and art. Hailing from the beautiful island of Grenada he works in a mixture of traditional painting techniques and photography.

The photos are highly stylized and you can choose to interpret them as either photography or a painting as both are true about each piece he produces. They are often composed of abstract, dreamlike images masked with a hint of obscurity.

This collection explores the power of identity which evokes emotion, creates nostalgia and cultivates a sense of connection that delves into the nuances of our human experiences.

His filmmaking work similarly uses visual storytelling to explore the human experiences, crafting narratives that reflect the real nature of its protagonist. His aim is to create art whether it's paintings, photos, music and videos etc, that speaks to the viewer's curiosity and encourages reflection and connection.

Testimonials

“The Nourish Retreat exceeded all of my expectations…

The experience could not have come at a better time in my life. I was burned out and overwhelmed with taking care of others and really needed an opportunity to return to “nourishing” myself. This was a much needed opportunity to reflect on what brings me joy with guidance and connect with likeminded individuals. It was a beautiful experience.” - Diana B

“Between our exceptionally gifted instructor and the attendees the retreat attracted…

I would highly recommend a Nourish experience with Malaika. This retreat brought people together that instinctively gelled & the community was organically special. Having an opportunity to share thoughts throughout the program proved invaluable as I personally showed up to find clarity for the road ahead. I left feeling full and equipped to continue the journey of ongoing nourishment. During the course of the program, Malaika was mindful to make sure our needs were being met.” -Gail H

“Enrolling in this retreat was the best thing I did for myself all year…

I had some reservations going in - would I want to travel alone, a whole week felt long, and of course, there’s a financial cost. Each of these concerns quickly subsided the second I arrived. Malaika is the exact person you’d want to lead this sort of experience... She was welcoming, kind, supportive and intentional. Her pride and passion comes through, which I think makes it impossible for anyone to leave with less than a great experience. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Think of this not as a singular retreat, but a multi-hyphenate of a yoga, meditation, self-discovery, local experience.” - Madeline M

“The Nourish Retreat was everything I needed…

to process and end this year! Beyond leaving with practical tools to help me live a more balanced life, I appreciated the well rounded itinerary that gave us a good taste of Grenadian life and culture. This was my third retreat with Malaika! I keep coming back because she curates such thoughtful and transformative experiences. — Jewels R

“This was my very first official yoga class and by extension yoga retreat.

I was a bit apprehensive but from my first session, I was made to feel at ease, comfortable and right at home. This retreat is definitely beginner friendly and our facilitator, Malaika ensured that everyone was able to participate by creating modifications, when necessary. If you're looking for a guided outlet to rejuvenate, refocus and recenter, I can confirm that this is your opportunity. I fully endorse this experience and I hope that anyone seeking a fuller expression of themselves choose this path.” - Kyla J
