Virtual Prenatal Yoga & Journaling Series
Guided by Malaika Maitland
Professional Yoga Therapist (1000hr), Doula, Visual Artist and New Mama
This interactive 4-day series, In Your Element, is a unique opportunity to nourish your body, deepen your relationship with breath, reflect on your journey and nurture your intentions for yourself, your birth and your growing family. Sessions will be recorded so you can participate even if you aren't able to join live!
The theme of each daily session (1 hour) was inspired by one element of nature. Earth, Water, Fire, Air each provide an intuitive lens for assessing and bringing balance to the rich tapestry of our lives. For instance, like the Earth, how can we feel more grounded and stable in the midst of great change? While our experiences of pregnancy may all be different, sharing space with each other reminds us that we are not alone. Come as you are, and together let’s pave a path towards being more conscious parents.
This series is a refreshing blend of prenatal yoga therapy, ayurveda, meditation, journaling and guided conversation. In Your Element is your space to feel held, while also gaining simple techniques and knowledge to help you navigate pregnancy, birth, postpartum and beyond.
All trimesters welcome. (postpartum mamas I’ve got something brewing stay tuned)

Testimonials
“ I remember how much I looked forward to sessions with Malaika when I was pregnant. The gentle stretching and breathing exercises helped alleviate so much of my discomfort and ultimately I believe that my participation contributed to how well my birthing experience went. Thanks Malaika! “
— Adrienne G.
“ My sessions with Malaika always manage to recenter and refresh me. It’s like drinking a mug of coffee in the morning, for me this is exactly the boost I need to start my day. Sessions always include mindful meditation and movements that get the body circulating and then a lovely sharing moment with other participants. I love connecting with another black Caribbean woman in this way and look forward to future sessions. Thank you so much for sharing your time and knowledge with me. “
— Zani
“ This was a great experience for me in a time that is new to me as a pregnant first time Mama. I felt held and heard as I was able to connect to myself and baby. I would definitely recommend Malaika and her offerings. She was super gentle and provided a space to pause the pregnant mama or mama stressors/anxieties. “
— Racheal
