Nourish - Grenada Yoga & Wellbeing Retreat

  • True Blue Bay Boutique Resort True Blue, Saint George Grenada (map)

"To nourish the soul means to become kinder, more compassionate, wiser, and more loving, often through the making of difficult choices that foster growth rather than safety. The nourishment and growth of the soul is the very reason for human life."  ― Joan Z. Borysenko

You are invited to Nourish in Grenada, whether you’re a seasoned yogi or beginner looking to broaden your horizons. To be nourished from within is the most precious gift we can offer ourselves. This 7 day journey of self-reflection is an invitation to acknowledge the ways you already pour into yourself and explore more approaches to self-nourishment. Dive into experiences, practices and shared wisdom to enrich your connection to the inner resources you walk with daily.

It’s an honor to invite you to the 2nd annual Nourish Yoga & Wellbeing Retreat in Grenada, my healing island home. This year we will use the five elements to lay the groundwork for deepening our understanding of ourselves and our connection to the natural rhythms of life. Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space each provide an intuitive lens for assessing and bringing balance to the rich tapestry of our lives. Each day we will call upon one of the elements and its essential qualities to inspire our self-study and exploration.

Join me, Malaika Brooks-Smith-Lowe, professional yoga therapist (1000hr), doula, artist, community builder and cofounder of Spice Harmony Yoga for 6 transformative nights at True Blue Bay Resort. Together we will explore practices that support whole-being wellness including vinyasa & therapeutic yoga, the Great Yoga Wall™, meditation, breath work, art therapy, journaling and connected conversation. Open to all levels of yoga experience. All bodies are welcome & supported.

We will nourish our senses with experiences like a hands-on Farm 2 Table lunch  with Chef Joachim and  Grenada I.T.A.L at Ital Cabin and farm, an island tour of Grenada’s natural beauty, speed boat ride to Hog Island for a relaxing afternoon and an opportunity to plant our own seeds with my Dad at our Wild Seed Sanctuary project currently blooming in our home village!

Plus lots of freetime for relaxation, integration and exploration! Let’s retreat together, not to escape from life, but to connect more fully to its richness!

The Nourish Retreat was everything I needed to process and end this year! Beyond leaving with practical tools to help me live a more balanced life, I appreciated the well rounded itinerary that gave us a good taste of Grenadian life and culture. This was my third retreat with Malaika! I keep coming back because she curates such thoughtful and transformative experiences.

Between our exceptionally gifted instructor and the attendees the retreat attracted, I would highly recommend a Nourish experience with Malaika. This retreat brought people together that instinctively gelled & the community was organically special. Having an opportunity to share thoughts throughout the program proved invaluable as I personally showed up to find clarity for the road ahead. I left feeling full and equipped to continue the journey of ongoing nourishment. During the course of the program, Malaika was mindful to make sure our needs were being met.

Malaika is an intuitive healer and community builder wise beyond her years. She creates a familial atmosphere that encourages safety and comfort, all of which are precursors to healing. All of Malaika’s yoga sessions felt easy to access. She provided excellent instruction and guidance for modifications based on individual abilities. I’m looking forward to Malaika’s future curated experiences.

Malaika is a beautiful person .. She makes everyone feel special and has a way of bringing us all together and feel welcome. This was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. I absolutely loved the diversity of women, and the unity we all shared.  Thank you Malaika for offering us such a wonderful Nourishing retreat.

This was my very first official yoga class and by extension yoga retreat. I was a bit apprehensive but from my first session, I was made to feel at ease, comfortable and right at home. This retreat is definitely beginner friendly and our facilitator, Malaika ensured that everyone was able to participate by creating modifications, when necessary. If you're looking for a guided outlet to rejuvenate, refocus and recenter, I can confirm that this is your opportunity. I fully endorse this experience and I hope that anyone seeking a fuller expression of themselves choose this path.
