Cool Me Down: Post Carnival Retreat

  • Bay House Jean Anglais Saint George Grenada (map)

After the vibrant energy and excitement of Spicemas, Cool Me Down offers a soul-soothing pause—a space to unwind, cool off, and come home to yourself.

Join professional yoga therapist and wellness guide Malaika Brooks-Smith-Lowe for a rejuvenating day at Bay House, a serene boutique hotel perched in the hills of Jean Anglais with breathtaking views of Grand Anse Beach. On Thursday 14th August, 2025 you will be nourished by movement, breath, community and wholesome food. We’ll begin the day with a warm welcome—fresh local fruit, coffee, and herbal tea—followed by an opening circle. After we practice together, we will head to the poolside for a delicious lunch designed to detoxify and revitalize.

Inspired by the beautiful song "Cool Me Down" by Grenada’s own Sabrina Francis, this retreat invites you to embody the cooling, restorative energy we all crave after Carnival. Whether you greeted the sun on J’ouvert morning, chipped down the road with your favorite band, or simply soaked in the joy of Spicemas from the sidelines, this retreat offers the perfect reset.

Thoughtfully curated to include:

  • Gentle Movement – Stretch, ground, and release the tension from the festivities

  • Breathwork – Soothe your nervous system with intentional, calming breath practices

  • Conscious Listening – Reconnect through mindful, heart-centered communication

  • Reflective Journaling – Integrate your experience and set intentions going forward

All bodies are welcome and supported. 💙🌱

Grateful for the most intentional day I’ve had in a while ! From the yoga sequences to conscious listening to art therapy, I feel like I’ve experienced a great day of community while still focused on myself. Thank you so much !!

Malaika’s mini retreat was accessible and manageable for a beginner like me. She provides modified approaches during the yoga sessions, which were helpful. I especially enjoyed the unstructured time to interact with attendees individually and relax in the pool. Overall a great experience!
